The Business Of Art Licensing

It’s been published in the Artist & Graphic Design Market, the noted annual directory which has helped so many artists, illustrators and graphic designers connect with licensees and publishers over the years.

I thought it was time to take that article out, brush it off, and give it a fresh reading.

While doing so I updated it, making some changes here and there, and found a ready publisher in ArtBistro, a very cool service of Monster.com.

One of these days I’ll get around to writing a sequel to it, but for now this article gives some of the essential basics that artists need to know to be successful in art licensing.
