A New International Resource for Artists

If you want to make yourself and your artwork known, not just in the United States but internationally, you might want to consider getting a listing in one of the major international art directories or sourcebooks.

The good news today is the announcement that there’s a brand-new art licensing directory that will be published for the first time in April 2011.

It’s called the “Art & Design Licensing Source Book” and it’s a sister publication to The Licensing Source Book, and a number of other really useful publications related to art, design, greetings and other fields.

The book will be published once a year and expects a circulation of almost 20,000 qualified art buyers, plus distribution at some of the key art licensing shows, including Surtex, the Licensing Expo, Brand Licensing Europe, and the mammoth Birmingham (England) Spring Fair.

What’s different about this directory is not just its extensive and qualified circulation but also that it will include in-depth editorial features and news from leading editors with art licensing experience.

And, of course, it will be loaded with an exhaustive list – with full contact information – of licensees in many product categories related to art licensing.

According to the information I have, it appears that while the directory is selling advertising, plain listings are available at no charge (although it may be too late for this initial issue).  Your contact would be Jacqui Parr, Editor, at jacquip@max-publishing.co.uk.  Or check them out online at www.max-publishing.co.uk.

We have a few other directories listed on our Porterfield’s Fine Art site.  Worth checking out!
